Sponsored by the European Commission, the COM2REACT project is the REACT project follow on (React movie). It aims at optimizing road safety and traffic efficiency. Vehicles are used as traffic sensors. They allow to estimate the flow, speed and density of the local traffic, the visibility and the possible occurence of incidents on the roadway.
COM2REACT project: The Vehicle to Vehicle communication (V2V) is added to the Vehicle to Infrastructure communication (V2I). The vehicles of a given zone share traffic information. Centralizing these data, one of the vehicles exchanges with the control center and feeds back the received data towards the vehicles of its zone.
Intempora provides the embedded software platform and participates in both the design of the system's architecture and the actual experimentation process.
